I took a German Placement Test last Friday because I can't afford to wait for my dual credit transcripts to come in. I was supposed to test into Beginning 2. Instead, the test, which showed checkmarks next to every level that I had 'passed', showed:
Beginning 1 √
Beginning 2 √
Intermediate 1 √
Intermediate 2 √
Contact Advisor √
Apparently this means that I could go straight into literature courses if I felt so prepared... it's the same situation I was given with Spanish... because I aced the Spanish AP test! Passing high school level 3 German is a far cry from taking an AP test. I know I would fail the Spanish class I'm in now if I tried to take it in German. So I've enrolled in Intermediate 2. :D
