Today in Spanish class, we were learning how to discuss accidental events. Things got interesting (for me, at least), when we got to the word Acabar. Now, strictly speaking Acabar means "To Come to an End", and in the context we were using it it meant more naturally "To run out." But the sad fact is, it has two other... more interesting... meanings with sexual connotations that I will not spoil virgin eyes by posting on a public blog but which can easily be guessed based on the traditional meaning. With that background information, here was a particularly disturbing quote from class:
A Señora Kiser se le acabó el bacalao.
Traditional Translation: The codfish accidently ran out on Mrs. Kiser.
